International trademarks are protected through the Madrid system, thanks to which the trademark receives protection in several countries at once, all documents are sent to only one office.

One of the conditions is that you must already have a registered trademark in Ukraine or apply for a trademark in Ukraine. It is also required to decide in which countries you would like to register a trademark, pay duties, and within 12-18 months if the registrars of these countries have no claims, the trademark will be registered in this state according to the national procedure.

As a result of the international registration under the Madrid Agreement, the trademark is entered into the international database indicating the countries in which the mark is registered and a list of goods and services for which it is used.
